update

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been rather busy with my own affairs that I seldom have time to sit & think of Lucas' accomplishments. So here are some now.

Lucas can now lift and hold up his head rather well when he's lying on his tummy.

He can roll over from both sides.

He's able to respond when people talk to him or smile at him by smiling & gurgling.

He can keep himself amused by looking at his surroundings, talking to his toys etc..

His favourite toy is the "handphone" that his mummy had bought him (not the "Toy of the Year" toy, i'm afraid). He's so cute - the toy phone comes with a "press me" ringing feature and each time I press it, I would say "Hello". So now, when Lucas hears the ringing, he'll make a sound very similar to "hello". & I don't think it's my imagination. I think he's really responding.

(see pic above - far left)

He's still a TV addict.

... and we think we know why...

He developed a slight fever after his 2nd injection on Saturday morning. Think it was the Rotavirus jab vaccination ?? But's he's recovered from it and is fit & well now..

He's really grown alot over the past few weeks. But I haven't really realised it since I see him almost everyday. One thing I do notice is that sometimes, I forget that he's only a 3 mth old baby. He can sometimes seem so clever and so "big boy". I still can't believe he's my sister's baby. Cannot tahan la !! He's really too too cute !! :)

Twist & Shout

Lucas has learnt to turn himself over ! It's a very exciting time, but it can also cause lots of anxiety coz as of now, he can & will turn himself over at any time ! Even when he's not supposed to, even when & if he's on the edge of the bed/sofa etc..

He's done it on his own for about two days now. He's still not very good at it, but he's getting there. Sometimes he tries and
gets it rather quickly, other times, he doesn't. He tries & tries and gets frustrated when he cannot to do it. So he squeals, he yells, and makes alot of noise to show his frustration. Then he tries & tries again. After he's acomplished it, there are tiny beads of perspiration at the back of his head, on his arms & legs. But he loves it !

Lucas' Hobbies:

1. He loves watching TV. Nowaday
s, he automatically looks in the direction of the television whenever he sits upright (is held upright in a sitting position) on the couch in front of it. He smiles whenever Ernie or Big Bird comes on screen (close up).

2. He loves sucking his bottom lip. It's very very cute.

3. He loves sucking his fis
ts.

Other updates. Gong Gong is finally willing to carry him. He's been waiting till he's not too fragile before handling him. Now that he's conquered his initial fear, next trial - changing diapers !!

Here are some other recent photos of him.

oh ! oh ! oh ! and how could I forget...

Lucky Marcus has the privilege of being the first person that Lucas called.

When Marc came to pick up mother & son this evening, I told Lucas that "papa" was here.. As Marc turned to walk away, we (popo, aunt, and uncle) were all very sure that we heard Lucas say "baabaa" (or maybe he meant to say "mama" haha which makes Steph the lucky one).

Needless to say, we were all very estatic. It probably wasn't what we hoped it was but still !!! He'll be three months old on the 16th and he's already babbling more than any toddler we know. He
may just start talking young !

another milestone

I'll leave the picture to do the talking.. he learnt it himself !
Nothing to do with mummy or popo this time.
