Time for the mama to do some updating for once!
Lukey is really a big boy now... he's abt 72-75cm tall (we dunno for sure cos he wouldnt stay still for long enuff for us to measure him accurately...haha and when he's asleep... er..we dare not touch him n risk waking him up!), 20-21 pounds (i.e. ~9.5kg) and VERY STONG! Once he grabs onto something (e.g. mommy's glasses, the edge of the bathtub etc), u can't get him to let go unless someone else comes to help PRYYY his little fingers away! You should check out my/ my mum's/ taiyee's biceps now...
And sad to say, Lukey's now having his 2nd bout of the sickies since birth... first was the flu he got when he was 10-12 days old. Now he's caught a cough/runny nose/ diarrhoea virus last week from i dunno where and had to visit the doctor on this 8th month bday :( And to share his misery, mommy has caught the virus too and as of this morning, daddy-o had a sore throat too...uh-oh.... :P er, talkabout d********, Lukey woke up early again this morning (once in a while he throws us a 5.30am curved-ball!) and decided he would have a poopoo (ok to be fair... think he can't control when he HAS to go) and BOY! was it a mess cos his tee shirt was tucked into his pants (like every other night) but last nite... the edge of his tee was nicely tucked into this diaper as well.... SOOOOOOOO.... haha suffice to say mommy n daddy din have much fun at 530am!! :) But he's such a smiley darling... we all love him to bits. As we were washing his little bumbum, he entertained himself by slapping his hands on the wall even while his feet were slipping n sliding on the slippery floor :)
And oh yeah! we think he will be an early talker... he has begun to "OH OH' or "UH UH" at anyone/ anything... sounds like he's trying to say sthg... And when u ask him "Where's Gong2/ Po2/ Taiyee/ Mummy/ Daddy" he will scan the room to locate the correct person! so clever rite?! hehe

Look Ma !! My Hands !!
This afternoon, I decided that I would try to document as much of Lucas' achievements - i.e. developmental milestones, if we could call them that - as possible.
He seems to have discovered his hands ! He stares at his left hand while he opens & closes them repeatedly. His mommy has got it on video but I've yet to upload it. Sometimes seeing him achieve these milestones shows me how great the human mind is and how much a little human being can do and also reminds me how much I, and many adults like me, take for granted.
Here's my wish for little Lukey, that he really.. take his time to grow up. It's been 8 completely joy-filled months for us and we look forward to many more before he grows up to become a real monter !!

Lucas can sit on his own now ! He can when he wants to - especially when he's "studying".. tell him "meow meow cat" and he'll give you his fullest attention. In fact, I think he's been able to for a while now, just that he has never stayed still long enough for us to consider it "sitting up".
He has yet to learn to sit up on his own yet, but I'm sure he'll get it soon :)
