Lucas
Lucas has grown so much lately it's hard to keep track ! He learns sooo soo quickly !
Ever since his mummy's last update, Lucas can:
1. Clap his hands.. If he hears the song "If you're happy...", he'll clap his hands and when it gets to the verse where he needs to "stamp his feet", he'll jump up & down.
2. Blink blink.. This one will get him out of ANY trouble in future. On cue, he will blink both his eyes and when we laugh and continue to look at him, he'll continue blinking & blinking. (We're now worried that he'll develop a bad habit)
3. Tiger - He growls/roars like a tiger when we say the word out. It's not a whimpy sound but a hearty, throated "rooooaAAaar".
4. Say please by outstretching his hands and turning them up (ala Oliver Twist "more please ?") then he'll curl up his fingers (ala come here)..
5. Do "no more" - looks almost the same as a please though... hehe
6. Wave his hands when we say hi/bye or stinky (looks the same)..
7. Tickle - He does it to his daddy's neck through the head rest in the car and to me too !
8. Sayang - when he's told to, he'll put his head on your shoulder.
9. Say... "papapapow" (don't know if he means pa pa or po po) and he can call me "yeeeee" *happy happy joy joy* - hehe gong gong is jealous
10. He can take something and give it back.
11. He now knows 10 letters of the alphabet: A, B, C, D, I, L, M, S, T, X (but he gets S and X mixed up sometimes)
There's more.. but I'll leave it till the next post otherwise I'll spoil your fun ! :) No pictures this time because they are still in the camera. More soon !

Baby at the Zoo!
Finally, another long-overdue update!
Lucas made his first trip to the zoo yesterday and he seemed to love it! He was most fascinated by the orangutans climbing down the trees and poles... (maybe they reminded him of how he climbs around on Popo and Gonggong and everyone/ everything at home!). He enjoyed the tram ride too but most of all, he loved the plastic Ice Mountain water bottle daddy emptied for him cos he could chew on it and fling it around! Someone pls remind me not to spend $$ on toys since simple things like this (and other 'cheap' things like container lids, tissue paper boxes etc) entertain him the most!
Today, Lucas is spending the afternoon at popo's house and it sounds like he's almost on his way to talking! He sounds like he's repeating words after you, like when taiyi says "kaca" (i.e. glass) he will laugh then repeat the same sound! He's also indiscriminately babbling "memememem" and "babababa" or "papapapa". TOOOO CUTE!!!! :)
Here are some more pics of him from recent weeks:
Uncle Nicky forced him to wear this beanie (and bribed him with food!)
See his "little" teeth!
... all the better to bite Gong-gong with!
The two naughty boys:
Lukey just lovvvvvves Tai Yi!
And Lukey loves Lukey too!
How not to love this face?!

Lukey's back !
The family arrived in Singapore at about 6.15am on Saturday afternoon. Ever since then, everyone at home has been swooning over the precious little boy.
He's now able to wave "bye bye" when we wave to him. He's also able to "give" someone the something that he's got in his hand... He learnt these in Oz ! So clever right ?
His daddy & mommy bought him a little alligator xylophone. Now, when we say "play" he'll bang his little hands on the keys. And when prompted "somemore" he'll continue to play on the keys !
His latest achievement (academically) is that he can (very accurately) identify "A for apple", "B for ball", "C for car", "L for Lucas" and "M for mummy" from amongst a jumble of flash cards. You can see him studying the letters intently before picking out the correct one !! My nephew is SOOOOO clever *gush gush gush*
Here are some pictures from his trip to Australia:
Here's the little vest Po Po knitted (very lovingly to get out in time for his trip)
Keeping him amused on the road
See how cheeky he looks when he laughs
Silly mirror (silly daddy too)
Sitting upright & (greedily) watching his Uncle Nick eat

Lucas in ...Melbourne!
Yesterday, we took a lonnnnnng drive to Great Ocean Road. It was raining and cold and well, not the best weather for a long drive. We loaded up the car with our biscuits and chips and baby food for our adventure and boy was it an adventure! We borrowed a GPS tracker from Uncle Nick's friend and at one point, we realised we had to make a U-turn. So Uncle Nicky drove up a path and drove into someone's muddy garden (we were all asking him why he had to do that!) and no prizes for guessing what happened next!! Yup, our rear wheeels got stuck in the mud!!! and jussssst like how we saw on TV, Daddy and Uncle Nicky ran ard the place trying to get planks and bricks and shovels etc. And Aunty Stella took the wheel and from inside the car, we kept telling the boys what they needed to do (we knew best of course since we've watched it on TV countless times!) but hahah, of course, the more we tried, the deeper we got stuck! So Uncle Nicky finally went back down to the road to wave down a 4X4 truck who came and chained us to his truck and literally dragged us out of the mud. hahahah! And for his efforts, the farmer guy who helped us got a pack of Tim Tams from our snack stash. Hahah. And all thru the +/- 1hr that we were stuck, Lukey was such a good boy in the car, sitting n eating his bread roll :) Nways, this is the only pic we have to remember the incident - of the donkey grazing along that muddy path.. prob was wondering what this carful of asian nuts were doing in the rain in his owner's garden. hahah :P
When we finally reached the 12 Apostles, Lukey was sleeping so we took turns to go out to the lookout point to see the Apostles (Uncle Nick and I counted only 8...hmmm...). It was drizzling and soooooo windy, we practically ran out to the lookout point, took a few shots and ran back! On the way driving back, of course, mummy had to get car sick cos it was 3 hrs of winding winding WINDING roads. No more road trips!!!

Lucas' Latest
Here are some long-awaited/winded updates
1. Lucas can: High Five, Low Five & Shake Hands. Very very cute especially since he opens his hands when he Fives and tilts his hands for a handshake.
3. He's got a SUPER grip ! When he's tightened his grip on an object, there's almost no way to get it out of his hand(s). And when we finally manage to do so, he'll get very upset with us.
4. He's got a short short fuse. Unfortunately, he's quite short-tempered and gets frustrated/mung zung easily. Especially when he can't get what he wants
5. But no worries about that.. his Popo & Gong Gong.. actually more often it's Gong Gong, gives his whatever he wants :P If he grows up being a spoilt kid (if he isn't already one) we all know whose fault it is.
6. Lucas crawls on his knees now.. quite steadily but when he needs to get to his destination quickly, he'll still opt for the "commando crawl".
7. He's a climber !! Lucas seems to have a natural ability to climb. Be it up the coffee table, onto the couch, up Gong Gong or even up the standing fan (!!) he'll raise his fat little legs up and away he goes !! If he doesn't succeed at the first or second or even the third go, he'll persist till he does. Gong Gong loves him for his persistance.
8. He loves his "mum mum". He can articulate this very clearly everytime he sees his food or his milk bottle. He says "mum mum" when he sees us eating.. and even says it when he sees us LAYING the table !!!!! He's so so clever !
9. He can identify the letter "A" from amongst a few other letters. He even knows to turn the flashcard around when we show him the "A" upside-down ! He can even distinguish "A" from "V", even when both letters are "pointed" the same way. So crever !
Ok.. so much for the advertisements.. Here are some pix:
This was before Mummy left for her Bali trip. I missed her so much then and cried for her every night. Luckily, she was only away from about 3 nights.
Like that where's Mummy going to sleep ?
One night I just decided to sleep this way:
The Face(s) of Mischief
